14 year old boy with newly found inoperable tumor

Hello, my name is Nikki Japalucci. I have opened up this go fund me account in hopes to take off some financial burden while my cousin Trina Martin is facing any mothers worst nightmare! Last week just days before Christmas her son Richard “Dylan” Martin, only 14 years old and in the ninth grade was experiencing severe headaches. They went to the hospital to get him checked out and the doctors found an inoperable large tumor in the center of his brain located on the tectum/ pineal region that is causing obstructive hydrocephalus on his brain. The Neuro team was set to do brain surgery the following morning to remove the massive amount of spinal fluid trapped inside Dylans brain, and planned during that procedure to try their best to take a scope to do a biopsy of the mass to see if it's cancerous. At around 9PM the same night, Dylan started losing consciousness and not completing their routine demands, so the Neuro surgeon raced back up to perform emergency surgery to remove the fluid. They drilled a spaghetti sized hole in his brain and he now has a drain tube pulling out the fluid. After that Dylan was smiling and holding onto hope and faith in our God Almighty to work his miracles. He asked his mom to read the whole Bible to him while they are there. They are planning to be there for the next few weeks to a month at the least. This brings me to why this go fund me is so important, Trina shouldn’t have to worry about how she is going to pay her bills, she needs to be by her sons side every step of the way. She needs our community’s help to take some of the financial burden away so she can focus on doing whatever it takes to help Dylan get better! Dylan had another brain surgery the following morning to reroute a drainage hole to drain to his stomach. They said the new drain is in the bottom of his brain has a high success rate, but kept the tube flowing from his skull as an emergency drain just in case it didn’t work. Unfortunately they didn't feel comfortable getting a biopsy. They said it's better not to touch the tumor for about 6 weeks and see if it grows to get to it easier for the biopsy to happen. Once Dylan woke up from that surgery his eyes were going in opposite direction and drs were not quite sure if it's surgery related. They did another MRI on Dylans brain. No bleeding, no sign of stroke, just alot of swelling and inflammation pushing on his optical nerve and occipital region. That's why his eyes are going outward! This should fix once the inflammation calms down! Although there was a high success rate with the procedure they did it was unsuccessful for Dylan. He will now have to have another operation to place an internal shunt to help with the drainage. Dylan and his family have a long road ahead of them, anything helps! We want to pray to God with every ounce of our hearts for complete healing for our sweet boy. We will continue to keep everyone updated. This mass is in an inoperative spot so only God can remove this horrible tumor! He moves mountains, he will remove this from this child in Jesus name I pray, Amen!
