14 year old Clifford Needs Help

My name is Susan and I'm desperately trying to give my beloved Clifford a chance to live his best life. He's an amazingly sweet and loving guy, we rescued him from a puppy mill when he was 5 months old. He's survived 2 episodes of IVDD, the second time, at age 6, the vets gave him almost no chance to recover, so we developed our own Rehabilitation program and 9 months later, he wasn't just walking but running!

Aging hasn't been kind to him, he's developed a condition called CCD, Canine Cognitive Disorder. It's extremely similar to human Alzheimer's. There are medications that can slow the progress, and give him quality of life. They are expensive, even purchased with a discount pharmacy card. My fixed income can't continue to pay for the medication and supplements he must have. (We had to do without for 24 hours and he went into full Sundowners mode, which is torture for him and a nightmare to watch him suffer).

ON his meds, he's silly, playful, loving and almost puppy-like!

Off... We consider euthanasia as the only alternative.

His vet says everything else about him is healthy and youthful. Even his teeth are perfect.

Just like with humans, Alzheimer's is cruel.

Can you help? We need to keep him on his prescription diet, his prescription medications and his supplements. We need to pay for his vet bills.

He's priceless to me, truly my heartbeat.
