140km 'Ridgeway' Expedition
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of THE ROYAL AIR FORCE BENEVOLENT FUND and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
I have served 8 years in the RAF and during that time I’ve had some truly amazing experiences, travelling the world, being part of events that have really made a difference to others and… jumping out of planes!
Work aside, my family is my backbone and this is the case with the majority of us in the forces. Without the support of our families we would find it incredibly difficult to cope with the pressures of military life.
My wife and I are expecting our first baby this year so now is an important time as any to contribute back to the organisation that takes care of the RAF families.
The RAF benevolent fund play a vital role in supporting the families of the service (both serving and veteran), helping tens of thousands of families deal with everything, from bereavement, financial support, mental health and childcare to something as simple as providing fun days out and respite for families whilst their partners/parents are deployed.
Having had support from them ourselves we’ve seen first hand how amazing this organisation is!
I plan to walk 'The Ridgeway' National Trail, also known as the oldest road in Britain, even Europe. This is a 140km (87 mile) walk from Overton Hill, near Avebury to Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire. I’ll be living out of my Bergen, wild camping and on ration packs (that includes biscuit browns..) for 4/5 days - like we would on exercise.
1st - 5th May 2024.
I'm aiming to raise £500 - so dig deep, even a couple of quid is better than nothing! I know each and every donation would mean the world to the RAFBF community.
Wish me luck...
