150 Mile Row for The Cure CJD Campaign
Hi all,
Recently my Great Uncle Phil was taken to hospital and given a suspected diagnosis of CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease). This is a degenerative brain disorder that leads to dementia.
As of yet there is no cure for CJD, but the fantastic team at UCL are working hard to develop a cure for it, and similar Prion disorders.
This is where we come in - I've decided through the month of October to row 150 miles (241.402km) on my rowing machine, and am asking for your donations to give to The Cure CJD Campaign.
More info is available at their website: https://www.curecjd.org/
I understand that this is a tough time for everyone right now, but I would be incredibly grateful for anything you could spare to support the vital work that they are doing at UCL to support people like my Great Uncle, so that in the future being diagnosed with CJD will not carry the same grim portent as it does now.
I'll be posting updates as I go on this page and on my instagram page: @rpmatt93
Thanks for taking the time to read and donating if you can.
Please share!
Cheers,
Ryan
