Baby Girl Ana Victoria was born prematurely in Dominican Republic at 26 weeks and weighing only 1.8 pounds needs to stay in the NICU for at least 60 days to survive and become healthier and stronger.
Hospitals in Dominican Republic are very expensive and the mother does not have the resources to pay for her baby daughter’s stay in the NICU. The cost 6,600 pesos per day, which is equivalent to about 123 dollars a day. Her health insurance is not covering it. The hospital is saying her daughter will not survive with out the nutrition and care the NICU is providing.
The Mother was released from the hospital after being cared for having Post Partum Eclampsia. She is doing her best to recover taking care of her family as a single mother. The Dominican Republic Health Care is decades behind in providing adequate care for those who need, there is no public assistance available to the poor. The Hospital is telling the mother her daughter will not survive with out the care.

Bebé Prematura nacida en Santo Domingo con tan solo 26 semanas de gestación y pesando sólo 1.8 libras necesita permanecer en Cuidados Neonatales por lo menos 60 días para garantizar su vida y su salud.
Las clínicas en Santo Domingo son muy costosas y la mama no tiene los recursos para pagar la estadía de su bebé.
La mamá se recupero de Eclampsia. Ella esta haciendo lo que pueda cuidando a su otros hijos y a la nina prematura. Santo Domingo esta muy lejos de ofrecer cuidado medico para la gente que lo nesecita. No hay ni asistencia publica.
No existen donaciones pequeñas, todas son importantes!
