16 young cows, ‘the girls’, saved from slaughter.

Dear Friends,

We are reaching out to you for support of

our 16 young cows that were saved from slaughter.

Jen, a woman from Berkshire was suffering from severe depression with regular suicidal thoughts throughout 2022.

Stopping at the edge of the field, she was drawn to these young calves. Drawn to Jen, they came up to her and an emotional connection was created. Jen felt awash of love over her, healing her and pulling her out of darkness.

It made her contextualise her problems and she has not looked back since.

After finding out these calves were shortly due to be slaughtered, Jen wanted to return the love she was shown, so took out several credit cards and was able to purchase all 16 cows from the ‘beef’ livestock farmer.

That was late 2022, and now Jen needs your help & support.

Over the last 18 months Jen has self-funded the care and upkeep of the young cows with the credit she took out, but she is now struggling and is working in several jobs to keep the girls alive.

Currently the cows, who Jen calls ‘the girls’ are in a temporary rented accommodation (field and barn) in East Berkshire.

If monthly payments are missed then the farmer has the right to sell the cows as repayment.

We are in the process of setting up a charity, The Sentient Vision - My Light Sanctuary, named My Light Sanctuary as Jen said

‘animals are my light in my darkest moments, they saved me so I had to save them.’

In order to help keep these young cows alive, we have two core aims;

Firstly, to get funding to support the monthly temporary land rent and feed (approx. 3,800GBP a month) and an imminent

vet bill of £427.26.

Secondly, raise money to find our own fertile land to create a peaceful, environment for these cows and other animals in need of care, rehabilitation and sanctuary so that their future is secured forever. As Jen received so much love and healing through these cows, sentient beings, she would like to pay it forward to humanity as she said they have saved her and been her light during her darkest times. Her passion is to bring human and non human animals together as one, to thrive in peace and harmony, to advocate a kinder, more compassionate world.

We would like to make this self-financing in the longer term so that we are not reliant on donations.

Your help would be so appreciated. These cows helped someone from taking their own life, so the very least we can do is to give them a full life back and to bring this sanctuary, a beacon of hope, love, light and healing to fruition to help others.
