Hello! My name is Danielle (or Dani) Coronado. I'm an emerging Filipino-Canadian TV writer and producer, and I am currently an undergraduate student at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts majoring in Collaborative Arts with minors in Producing and Business of Entertainment Media & Technology. As an upcoming December 2022 graduate, I am currently in pre-production for my thesis short film 18 Roses.

Through my final project at NYU, I aim to celebrate my heritage and share the Filipino culture with the world. With my musical short film 18 Roses, I hope to highlight one of our traditions: the debut (which is a Filipino celebration for girls who turn 18 — similar to a Sweet 16 or Quinceañera)! This story follows a young girl celebrating her coming of age at her debut; it explores her relationships with others through her "18 Roses" dances.

This short film will also serve as a "proof of concept" for a mini-series that I will be writing as an additional part of my thesis later in the Fall semester. This project will give me something to show professionals in the future while demonstrating my unique point of view, capabilities, and who I am as an artist as I transition into working in the television industry following my graduation.

Your contributions will aid us primarily in providing our team (of 50+!) with food and transportation to our location on our shoot day. Below you can find the breakdown of our production budget:
