Support the 19 Bar staff during rebuilding process

In the afternoon on Friday March 22, 2024 the Loring Park and Queer community experienced a tragedy that we couldn't imagine when the 19 Bar caught fire due to a garbage truck hitting a transformer onto the roof causing a fire. Fortunately no one was hurt. The bar owner informed us that the bar will reopen and is excited to have the reopening party.

During the time it takes to rebuild the 19 the staff will be out of work for a while. This fundraiser was put together due to a call to action from the community as a means to support the employees financially while they are out of work. With permission from the bar manager Craig Wilson I am reaching out to the community to help the staff get by during this difficult time while the bar gets rebuilt. This is the oldest queer bar in Minnesota at 74 years running and a community gathering space for locals and visitors alike.
