1962 liturgies of All Saints & All Souls at Dorchester Abbey

The St Birinus Festival 2024 will take place the 31st October to the 3rd November this year. The musical events will take place around the principal liturgies of All Saints and All Souls, including Pontifical Mass for All Saints celebrated by Fr Hugh Allan O.PRAEM
We will have Vespers, Compline, Mass and Matins each day according to the 1962 missal, with full Gregorian Chant as well as the greatest musical treasures of the Renaissance, accompanied by Sackbuts and Cornetts. Highlights include Gabrieli’s great Mass for up to 16 voices and instruments, and the Lassus Requiem.
Please help us with the significant costs that come with organising such an endeavour, namely:
- hire, lodge and board for the professional musicians;
- feeding the choir and clergy
- expenses of the clergy
- printing music and booklets for the congregation
