Bringing Home Baby K
I would like to introduce you to my family the Van Winkle's,
Kelli (writer), Lucas, and our daughter Corinne. Adoption has been such a blessing for our
family and we're happy to share that we have begun the adoption process for a
second time. We are anxious to bring home our newest addition, who was or will
be born in Korea. You see we have yet
to see the shining, beautiful face of our newest:the paperwork is a tedious
process. But with our home study,
initial forms, and I600a completed, we now sit and wait to be matched with our
son or daughter. Corinne can hardly wait
and has already begun to "shop" for baby items!
We met Corinne for the 1st time in October of
2008 in Vietnam. Words cannot truly
express the emotions we had on that day:purely amazing. And now that 4 years has come and gone so
quickly, we prayerfully realized that it was time to get the adoption ball
rolling again. Corinne is more than
ready to be a big sister, and we are more than ready to watch our family
grow.
Our jobs and financial circumstances are different than with
Corinne's adoption, so we are humbly asking for any support that you can give
to help us bring home our new son or daughter.
We have $30,000 of upcoming expenses and could use all of the support
that we can find. Here is a poem that a good friend of mine shared with me that
portrays how blessed we are that adoption is our forever family's way of coming
together.
Not flesh of my
flesh,
Nor bone of my bone,
But still
MIRACULOUSLY my own.
Never forget for a single
minute,
You didn't grow under
my heart,
But in it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider our plight
and for your potential support. Also, if
you have any other fundraising ideas that you would like to share I would be
more than happy to hear them!
Sincerely,
Kelli,
Lucas, & Corinne
