I’m a small business owner who had to stop working per our governor's mandate on March 16th. I’m a photographer and we rely on my income to provide for our family including paying for our car payments, utilities and groceries. Not only that, but I’m still expected to pay for my businesses expenses including studio rent, utilities and programs. So far we have not received any help from the government. We haven’t received a stimulus. No loans/grants, no unemployment pay is currently available. I’m an LLC, pay taxes, carry insurance, and haven't had any income in nearly a month. I’m also issuing deposits for clients who had to cancel due to the virus.
My kids and I are separated from my husband at this time because he’s an essential employee and he has daily exposure to many individuals from all over the US. We made the difficult decision to stay separated in order to reduce potential exposure to our kids and to flatten the curve. It’s been a total of seven weeks since we’ve seen my husband. The kids and I miss him so much. He sends a little but of money home for us to get groceries but I still don’t know how I’m going to pay the majority of our other bills without my income. His income doesn’t cover our expenses. It mostly only covers our mortgage payment.
I’ve had some medical debt from my last pregnancy that I have been working so hard to correct to get better credit. I am completely devastated that this could hurt my credit that I’ve been working so hard on. I could lose my business. I’m scared.
I’m a temporary single mother to three kids, thrown into homeschool and with the weight of financial crisis hanging over my head.
Any help I could get would go towards paying my bills to maintain the good credit I’ve worked hard for. My Car payment, insurance, electricity, water and my many business expenses.
