Thank you for this opportunity to share my families story. I know there are a number people in need right now.

Covid-19 has made it so a stream of income that my family depended on has completely vanished.

I am a watercolor artist in Texas and I used to spend my weekends being a vendor at different makers markets in town.

Because of the pandemic I cannot show my work and my online sales have completely stopped.

My family was using the income that I made from my work to pay bills, groceries and medicine for my husband's super rare auto immune disease.

I know that we will be ok because we have a house full of love and we are all healthy for now but the financial burden and stress is starting to wear and worry both my husband and I.

My sweet 2 year old luckily knows nothing is wrong because we are filling time doing arts and crafts projects, exploring outside and playing all sorts of family games. I am thankful that he is young enough that he most likely will not remember this time.

When the pandemic just started we had to make a choice to take him to the ER because we suspected that he was infected with Covid. It was truly scary to weigh the dangers of going to the ER vs the risk of not seeing the doctor for a child with a fever of 101 for 4 days. I am beyond thankful that he only had an ear infection but the idea of the looming medical bills for this visit causes so much stress an anxiety.

I truly appreciate your time in reading this. I know how valuable it is. Even if my family is not chosen I want to thank you for helping families right now. The world needs more people like you.
