Luna Sky’s Recovery Fund

On April 8th Luna was taken to Rideout hospital because she was losing motor functions on her left side of her body. They did a CT scan on her and that’s when we received the news that Luna had a mass in her brain. She was air lifted within the hour from Rideout hospital in Marysville, CA to UC Davis medical center in Sacramento, ca. They did an MRI on April 9th at 2:00pm and determined that they couldn’t wait to operate, so she went straight from the MRI to the OR for emergency brain surgery to remove the tumor. The surgeon explained to us the tumor was located in her right frontal lobe and they had a 90% success rate in removing it. She came out of surgery at 7:20pm, the surgeon said she believes she got it all out but that she will be needing radiation or chemo, depending if the tumor is cancerous or not. We will have the results next week. With every day that passes she’s regaining her strength little by little. She will be doing intensive therapy to help her regain the use of the left side of her body as much as possible but it will be a long road to recovery. Many people have asked how they can help support Luna and her family in this difficult time, so this page was set up. Thank you for your generosity, love, support and most importantly, your prayers.
