Kadens Recovery

Donation protected
The morning of Good Friday, Kaden was in a serious car accident that no one thought he was going to live through. When the paramedics first arrived on the scene of the accident they initially called for a airlift, but it took them 30 minutes to get Kaden out of his car, and he had lost so much blood by the time he was out that they called off the helicopter because they did not think or believe that he would live much longer due to the amount of blood he had lost. They drove him 40 minutes to Sparrow in Lansing instead, and when he first arrived there he was talking to the ER doctors. For the first 14 hours or so they had him sedated the whole time, and He was in and out of surgeries, CT Scans, MRI's, X-Rays, had to have a breathing tube in, and a chest tube for extra fluid build up in his lungs. Every nurse and doctor in the hospital didn't think Kaden was going to live through this,  and are so shocked that he is doing as well as he is.

The day after the accident he woke up, but was pretty tired and dazy. His mom called the EMS 2 days after the accident happened because we couldn't find his phone and he was asking for it. The EMT's were so beyond amazed and surprised that Kaden was ALIVE and okay enough to be wanting a cell phone.  He has spent the last week in the hospital recovering, but with surprisingly no life threatening injuries, and he is just the same as he was before the accident. He was in the ICU until Tuesday, and now he is getting discharged to go home today, just ONE week after his accident.

Kaden is a senior in high school though and is graduating in about a month. He is planning on going into the Navy after graduation, but now he has to get through this obstacle first. This is going to be a long and very expensive recovery for Kaden, and his family and I just wanted to help them not have to worry about finances and money during this time. We appreciate any kind of help or support during these next couple of months,  and any thoughts, prayers, and visitors are welcomed during this!!

Thank you to anyone who has prayed thought about, prayed, and came to visit during this past week!!
He is so strong and appreciates everyone supporting him.

Thank you, and we will keep everyone updated on how he is doing.
