Support For Blake Merrill

My friend’s name is Blake Merrill. Blake has a medical condition known as Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, cluster migraine and chronic migraine. I know what you are thinking, can’t he just pop some Advil and move on with his day? Let me explain what happens when Blake comes down with a severe migraine. There is little to no warning that one is approaching. The first thing he gets is the blinding pain. Next Blake starts to lose some cognitive abilities and blackouts begin to occur. Blake then has a hard time doing small things like completing sentences and driving. These migraines even cause seizures and losing time. After he gets these his body requires him to sleep for 16 hours at a time. Advil is great but probably not what Blake needs. What Blake needs is the Reed Procedure. It boils down to inter cranial electronic stimulation of nerves. It is a lot of medical mumbo-jumbo that the doctors say will help Blake go back to living a normal life. The great news is that most of the procedure is covered by insurance. However there are many things that insurance doesn’t cover...travel costs, hotel rooms, meals and family support. Blake is a great person with a loving family but he is not a millionaire. If he doesn’t get the financial support he needs, Blake will have to wait for this potentially lifesaving procedure until he saves up enough money. Please consider donating to help Blake get this procedure done with as little impact to his family’s finances as possible!
