Save Triad Lives w 3D Printed Face Shields

Donation protected

I need your help to support the Triad Healthcare workers with 3D printed face shields.  Healthcare workers supplies of masks and face shields is getting low, and some have none. Now 3d printing face shields is happening, and we can get 3d printed face shields to those that need them the most in the Triad area!

I am an engineer/educator that can help through 3D printing.  I went to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services — National Institutes of Health website to register on the list of people that are willing to use their 3D printers to help print face shields.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) lists face shields as an option in crisis situations when face masks are not available. They also list homemade masks as a last resort but recommend also using a face shield. So if hospitals run out of factory-made masks, both 3D printers and sewing machines are up to the task of providing stopgap support to our healthcare workers until more PPE shipments arrive from traditional manufacturers.

The design of the 3D printed face shield we're printing:
+Easy to clean
+Comfortable - Easy Fit
+Transparency sheet used for shields - little or doesn't fog
+Transparency sheet can be easily replaced

I am asking for donations to help cover the cost of 3D printing and delivery of these face shields to Triad healthcare workers.  A $10 donation should cover 1 face shield and its delivery.   Thank you for your support!!!
