Help For Jenny And Gregg

Welcome to the Go Fund Me page for Gregg and Jenny. Gregg and Jenny are both amazing, generous, caring, strong, and fun people. They have a blended family with 3 children and live in the community of Tuscany, Calgary, Alberta. Last fall, Gregg received the devastating news that he had stage 4 colon cancer. They took the news better than most would and planned to fight together to conquer the nasty C word. Gregg had surgery to remove a large tumour and started chemo immediately. Sadly, his next scan showed that the cancer had spread; doctors shared the news that he only had two years to live and should make “the most of his time”. Still, Gregg and Jenny remained positive! A new chemo treatment plan was put into place and they continued to plan their future together; but this time as husband and wife and a destination wedding to Mexico was planned. Gregg made lifestyle and diet changes, and everyone was excited, positive and hopeful to make wonderful memories over the next 1-2 years and live life to the fullest. Sadly, the cancer has spread aggressively and Gregg has been given 3 months to live. Doctors have said there is nothing more that western medicine can do for him other than to manage his symptoms with pain relief. The destination wedding has been cancelled and wedding plans have been moved up to the first week of July. An overwhelming amount of generosity from various members of Calgary’s wedding Industry and Lynx Ridge Golf Course have made it possible for their family to have their dream wedding day for 140 people for under $3k cost to the family. However, this is only 1 day of a long journey. Jenny and Gregg are still hopeful that alternative medicine and therapies may give Gregg extra time to live as well as a higher quality of life. Gregg has had to leave his role as General Manager – Range Mobility and Jenny has dropped down to a casual position as her role as Call Taker and 911 Dispatcher for the City of Calgary in order to be Gregg’s sole care-provider when he is not in hospital and taking him to and from appointments as well as being a Mom and running the household. Funds are needed for gas to travel to and from appointments, groceries, day-to-day bills, mortgage payment and various alternative medicine and therapy costs. Gregg is an amazing human being, wonderful stepdad, loving son, loyal friend, supportive brother, loving uncle, and soon to be an amazing husband. Any help you may offer to help alleviate some of the financial stress on Gregg and Jenny’s life is appreciated more than you know. Thank you for your consideration.
