Jennie Blades Cancer Fund

After losing her husband Don to cancer in September of 2017, Jennie was diagnosed in  March of 2019 with normal pressure hydrocephalus. This disease interferes with Jennie’s mobility and memory. Just one month later, in April, Jennie was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. In order to begin treatment, a port had to be placed. Shortly after placement, the port became septic and caused an eight day hospital stay.

After recovering from that infection, Jennie completed her radiation and chemotherapy.  She will still need to undergo up to one year of immunotherapy. Jennie’s insurance hasn’t covered all of her medical bills, and with a fixed income, Jennie’s prescription and medical costs are mounting . 

Jennie is starting to fear that she will not be able to afford  treatment or medication and considered stopping treatment due to this. We would like to help take some of the stress away from her and make sure she gets the treatment and medication she needs.
