Help With Bills After MRSA Surgery

My name is Zac Bonesteel. I have been struggling to get caught up this year after volunteering in Puerto Rico and returning to a financial crisis. We have managed to just get straightened out when the foot problem began. Excruciating pain evolved into a huge abcess on the underside of my big toe. Several Dr and ER visits later (was even blown off like it was nothing on 1st ER visit because whole foot was swollen but no discoloration yet) I ended up being admitted to Saratoga Hospital. Surgery was required to drain abcess and remove damaged tissue. I will spare you the pictures but if you DM me to see them I will share. Wound was positive for MRSA. Spent a week in agony on IV antibiotics. This has left us in a very tight spot. We are asking for help to pay our home and business bills while my foot heals. The Drs want me to stay out of work for another 2 weeks. There is no way I can do that but prob cant get a workboot on for at least another week. We are trying to raise $8000 to cover all these bills. I started with a goal of $5000 but am not up to full working capacity yet so have had to raise it. If Anything is raised over our financial needs it will be passed on to either Puerto Rico rebuilding funds or some other charity. Then in a few months when we are caught up and normal I will save up whatever amount was donated to us and pay it forward. Please consider donating and sharing this with everyone you can. Update:My mutt Ophelia has something similar to MRSA in her surgical wound and may have to be hospitalized for up to a month. My wife works there and they were nice enough to give us 50% off. The first surgery was $1400. 2nd was about $700 and every week she has to board is around $600. So far Ophelia's bill at Shaker Veterinary Hospital in Latham NY is several thousand dollars. All while everything listed above is going on. It is terrifying. Update: took almost 2 months before I have healed enough to ease back into work. We are still in a lot of debt. And one.woman kind enough to donate accidentally donated $2500 which I will have to reimburse $2300 of. I am grateful for her help but am scrambling to earn the funds to rectify her honest mistake.
