Little Alexis is battling DIPG
Donation protected
In July 2019, six-year-old Alexis was the happiest little dancer you'd ever meet. Talkative, bright, caring, healthy, loving and overall just an amazing little girl. One day at her Dance class her teacher noticed Alexis was having trouble walking and seemed dizzy and complained of headaches, her mother became worried and took her to an urgent care facility. The doctor examining her was worried that her symptoms could be something very serious and told her mother she should get to Dell Children's Medical to get further diagnostics. While there, doctor's performed an MRI and noticed an abnormality on her brain that they would later diagnose as a cancerous tumor called DIPG or Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. This disease is inoperable and currently incurable. The only available treatment is radiation therapy which must be done very often to keep the cancer from getting much worse. As you might imagine Alexis and her family will need funding for medical bills and the ongoing costs associated with living with a child with this type of disease. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated at this very difficult time for the family. Thank you.
