A Celebration For Our Beloved Warrior Jonathan

Donation protected
Our sweet and beloved son, brother, father, friend, relative, neighbor and colleague - Jonathan Aguirre- passed on August 8th @10:30am after an intense battle with Cancer.
His initial diagnosis of stage 4 Colon Cancer that metastasized to the Liver began on October 2016. What would be a near 3 year journey, became an intense roller coaster of emotions, doctors visits, numerous Surgeries and hospitalizations.

Jonathan suffered many days and nights during this time and always hid behind a big wonderful smile and tons of courteous conversations with whomever he crossed. If you saw him, you wouldn’t know he was silently suffering with this horrible disease. He struggled with understanding this disease and how it was supposed to be healed with a poison (chemo) that drained him each time left him lifeless.

He was truly Loved by many everywhere he went. Hardly asked for much and always protected his friends. He hated injustices and always found a way to help when he could.

He was obsessed with his kids and their future.
He loved them incredibly hard.
His son was his best friend and companion through this tough disease. Although he was sick often, he still found his might to train his son nearly daily to be the next NBA player.
He called his daughter the most beautiful girl in the world.
He loved just holding her and staring at her sweet face.
He dreamed of raising her and guiding her through life to be a strong girl later woman that could conquer the world.
He leaves behind his son Jayden, 11 and his daughter Alyssa, 5.

His only trip with his son was in the summer of 2017 to his championship playoffs to Orlando, Florida. (Thanks to a lot of you l, his family and friends) Jayden and his team won first place that year. This was One of the most Proudest moments that warmed his hurting heart.

The last 7 weeks, since Father’s Day, would be the demise of his health. Day by day affecting his will and might more and more. He was excruciatingly tired of the fight and even so was still so strong to push through a more than 5 hour brain surgery. Cancer had now spread to his brain, causing loss of the right arm sensation and once again making him feel defeated. This Surgery was followed by 10 rounds of radiation of the brain. He fought an intense fight until the end. His last breath was peaceful yet so devastating to watch.

There are no words to describe the deep sorrow felt as we say farewell.

His wishes were to be taken to his family in Colombia to be seen as he never was able to make his way back and see them all.

This go fund me is to make his wish come true and fly him to Colombia to be viewed by our entire family.

All of your numerous prayers, thoughts, tears, hugs, love and light have been and will continue to be greatly appreciated. It is unbelievable that he has left us but I know we have gained a new guardian angel.

He is finally at peace.
There is No more medicine, no more chemo, nor needles or hospital stays to torture him.

He is deeply missed and even more intensely loved.
I love you my dear brother.
God bless you forever.
I know you are resting in Gods pure light and peace.

Until we meet again.

XOXO,
From All of your loved ones, near and far.
