Our Mission For A Transmission
Donation protected
Our family has been traveling in tiny homes exploring national forest, parks, museums, and springs. We've been everywhere from the east coast to the west coast. We are a family of four- Bow, Alyssa, Aidan (6), and Cedar (9 months) with two dogs- lily and ryoko. We have a fixed income so we travel to farms for work and pick up odd jobs along the way.
We were on our way to Savannah GA to visit the beach and from what we could tell is that a loose piece of a tire came up and hit our driveshaft, ripping it out. We we're able to limp the bus into a side street, probably doing more damage. We've completely cracked the transmission. We had the bus towed 360 miles to Todd NC to our friends farm where Bow is currently working for the parts.
With Winter being right around the corner we are in need to get our home up and running to get to a warmer climate as soon as possible. The tow truck broke our oil pan and entry door, they said they will pay for the door but not the oil pan. We have located a new transmission for 2k. The driveshaft should be around 4-500 dollars, new u bolts will be around 200, and then labour to get everything done. We had just done all of the regular matenetince on the bus and with the tow our emergency fund was depleted. We have toyed with the idea of getting a new bus, but we have put thousands of dollars worth of work into her and countless memories already.
Any amount donated will help our family get our home back on the road. We sincerely appreciate you reading our story and will be grateful for any help.
