Help us Get Baptized!

God bless you everyone that’s simply just reading this and decided to click on our link. Me and My Girlfriend Jazmin have been together now for 2 years, our anniversary just passed on August 14th of this year. Since God brought us together we’ve allowed God to work in this relationship and have put him first and before each other. Together we’ve grown in our walks with Christ and we’ve helped each other get closer to God. We are definitely heading towards marriage, God willing and on God’s time. For now though, I myself haven’t been baptized since giving my life to Christ in 2017 and neither has Jazmin. Although the most beautiful experience of being baptized by the Holy Spirit in Fire happened to Jazmin on New Years right in my home. We go to church together and whenever we miss a week we spend it studying together. Jazmin truly Loves God, I completely trust and Love the lord as well and we want to continue to honor him together and continue our walk with Jesus Christ. This August on the 31st there is an event in Chicago, a conference by a wonderful man and friend of mine named Marcus Rogers. This brother is used by God in so many ways and preaches how the word is meant to be preached. Not only would we love to attend this conference and be a part of the service but we’d also be going to finally get baptized. You see we go to a small church in NYC and we’ve taken baptism classes several times now, you’d think that after almost 3 years living for Christ I’d be baptized or after 2 years of completely surrendering to God Jazmin would be baptized, but sadly whether it’s about funds or time, or something completely different we’ve been finding lots of difficulty in getting baptized by our church. We also don’t feel like we have an actually PASTOR that we can honestly say, okay, we confine in this man we can call him at any time, we can speak to him about anything and our relationship with our churches pastor isn’t that strong I’d say. Not that he’s a bad pastor or the church is a “bad church” but we’re young, I’m 23 and Jazmin is 22, the pastor is a grown man and we go to church just by ourselves our parents don’t attend or our families. We’re in this walk alone and we are our own adults. It’s a very small Spanish family church and maybe it’s the age gap but the pastor is an older man who may or may not know how to engage with the youth 100% and there for we’ve never established a close relationship with him it’s always just been a casual relationship. Marcus on the other hand we trust and I’ve been able to build a connection with, I believe trust is important in this process, i don’t just want to go anywhere and be baptized by just anybody and especially not in this day in age. Jesus could’ve been baptized by anyone but he chose John for a reason, we feel God has put this in our hearts to pursue getting baptized before this year ends. God has called me to Preach and I’ve been on the journey more and more. He’s called Jazmin to minister and intercede and I know God has great plans for us. Right now I work a part time job and help my family, pay my own rent, and help Jazmin who’s focusing on school as a college student. At the same time we’re trying our best to save to get our own place and be married soon. It would be a great help for us and a blessing to be assisted in making this happen. I’m not sure but I feel like we’ll meet our goal and be able to attend this conference, even if we don’t meet our goal i have a feeling God will open doors for this to happen. The past month has been full of spiritual attacks, and we truly believe even Satan knows strong holds that he may have on either of us will be broken in Jesus name during this baptism. The money will cover flight, travel, and hotel fees while we stay there for the weekend. If for any reason we don’t meet the goal by the time of the conference then we’ll save the money for the next months Fire House Ministry service. If anyone feels in their heart to help us reach our goal and help us get to Chicago and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, I just want to say thank you and may God bless you!
