Help Wayne Battle Cancer

Let me introduce you to Wayne Just, husband, father, brother and friend. Who just happens to be one of the nicest guys on the planet. All who know Wayne would agree he is a hard working, salt of the earth, family first man, who quietly and joyfully shows up when hands-on help is needed. He has a deep love of nature and enjoys sharing that love with his three beautiful granddaughters.
For the past 20 years, with the loving support of his wife, Tracy Just, Wayne has been fighting a rare liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC for short). With careful monitoring, a strict diet, conventional and naturopathic medicine, they have held off the eventual need for a liver transplant, up to this point….
Recently Wayne has been diagnosed with colon cancer, which unfortunately cannot be surgically removed due to the poor health of his liver. If Wayne’s liver could be brought back to a specific level of health the cancer could be removed before it spreads. Once the cancer is removed, he would also be a viable candidate for a liver transplant. At this point, his team of doctors have not been able to offer any treatment that could improve the livers health. Incredibly frustrating and seemingly hopeless until….And this is where we are asking for financial support.
Through Tracy’s tenacious and thorough research, a naturopathic therapy using the mistletoe plant, was chosen to improve the health of Wayne’s liver to the point where surgery can once again be considered. After three weeks of intravenous mistletoe therapy administered in Colorado, Wayne’s CEA numbers have gone from 10.4 to 5.6! Note: Lower is better. This is a big change, as before, his CEA numbers were increasing quickly - A substantial improvement that with continued intravenous therapy could even improve the livers health to the point that surgery can be performed! We are looking forward to future improvements in lab results and will update this page with any changes.
This therapy is non-conventional. Insurance will not cover any of the cost of supplements, travel expenses (plane tickets, rental cars, lodging, etc.), time taken off work and the therapy itself. These are hard working people that have always worked for what they have and are much more comfortable giving than receiving. But now, they need your help. Wayne will need to return to the clinic periodically for follow-up treatments to keep his liver as healthy as possible for surgery and ultimately, a new liver.
We are so very thankful for the love, support and prayers of friends and family and would like to extend this opportunity to others. Please consider a financial donation that would help ease the burden of an already stressful time for two very deserving people. Thank you!
