John Heindel’s Funeral Expenses

Dad passed away suddenly this morning. He contracted a bacterial infection in his throat. On Tuesday evening he drove himself to the hospital in Yuma, AZ and checked himself in. However, the infection spread very quickly and within hours he was unable to breathe on his own, was put on ventilators, and was put into a medically induced coma. Maggie and Sierra got to the hospital as quickly as they could (3am Wed morning). They contacted Joey and me (Rosie) Wednesday morning and we made arrangements to get to him as quickly as we could. The doctors here went above and beyond to do absolutely everything they could to save him. However, his condition continued to worsen. This morning the doctor spoke with Joey, Sierra, and me about his prognosis- it was looking like it was going to be a long drug out process full of suffering with very little hope of any kind of quality of life returning. When the doctor left us the 3 of us sat in the hospital courtyard and decided together that we would tell dad that he didn’t have to try to keep holding on for our sake. The moment we were all in agreement on this, the nurse approached us and told us that hisI heart had stopped and they had started CPR. We rushed to the room where they had already been working on him for some time, but he wasn’t responding. They asked us if we wanted them to stop working on him and we decided together to have them stop. Joey, Sierra, Aunt June, and I went into the room, held his hand and told him how much we love him as he passed.Dad requested to be buried as close to the Superstition Mountains as possible, so we are going to have a Catholic funeral in Mesa and a burial in Apache Junction. I don’t know any details beyond this right now, but I’ll update you when I do.They said it would be about $10,000 to transport his body and have the funeral/burial. Please help us celebrate the wild and crazy life of this truly amazing man. Anything you can contribute is much appreciated.
