AML Leukemia- Jacob’s Battle Continues
Donation protected
Well, it looks like this battle is going to start again. Jacob was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in May of 2017, and after over a year of chemotherapy and multiple surgeries, he was in NED remission. This lasted until recently. On Friday, 8/23/2019, Jacob was diagnosed with AML leukemia This is going to be harder than Ewing’s was, and we don’t know what’s going to happen. All we do know is that this war is going to take everything he has, everything we all have, and then some. With the encouragement and support of our friends and family we were able to achieve survivorship before, and while I hate to do it, we have to call on all of our friends and family once again. Our family of 7 is going to have to be divided for quite a while, and just the first phase of treatment will require Jacob to be in the hospital for at least a month straight. With either me, his father, or his grandmother with him constantly. My husband, Jacob’s dad, is the only one working. Any time we both need to be there for him (emergency situations are extremely likely) it will be lost income for our home and other children. Anything anyone of you can do to help would be so appreciated. This time around will be worse, and knowing we have our community and family behind us means everything. Thank you so much
