Stem Cell Therapy For Colton

Colton will be 2 years old next month. (September 2019) He is a happy and incredible boy that is no short of a miracle.For those of you that don’t know, when Colton was 6 months old, he suffered a brain injury that changed his and our lives forever. He was taken to surgery that resulted in cardiac arrest that deprived his body of oxygen...including his brain. The doctors had no hope for Colton to even live through the month he was hospitalized. But with God and so many precious prayers, Colton lived through it all and defeated the odds against him. (Most of them) Colton now suffers from severe cerebral palsy and intractable epilepsy. He is unable to eat (fed through a gtube), unable to speak, walk, or do most things a typical 2 year old can. It’s heart breaking to watch him struggle but he has done so with incredible resilience. We recently discovered stem cell therapy and have reached out to doctors and other families. A doctor at Rocky Mountain Regenerative Medicine in Boulder, Colorado has agreed that Colton is a perfect candidate for the treatment. We are hoping to do stem cell therapy in the spring of 2020. However, the cost is the major factor in being able to get this done for him. Insurance does not cover any of the treatment. We are doing this to raise money for his treatment there and for travel expenses as we will be in Boulder for a week.Stem cell therapy although costly has proven to be so incredibly effective for so many children and even adults like Colton. They will do two different treatments to inject stem cells back into his body and these cells will go to his brain to replace and/or “wake up” the dead cells in his brain. Although there is no cure for him, these treatments may improve some of the deficits that he has. Total cost of treatment is $16,500. Anything raised over that will be used toward travel expenses and additional therapy. (We are also looking into more than one round of stem cells, HBOT and Neuro Acupuncture in New Mexico.) If you can’t donate or take part in our events taking place to raise funds, that is more than okay and we understand completely. We just ask that you pray for Colton and his family during and after his treatments. Please share with friends who will add Colton to their prayers. We pray that everything goes smoothly and that this is highly effective for him. We want more than anything for this to work for him and to improve his quality of life. Prayer has proven over and over again that God holds Colton so close to Him and He is always there. We pray that it is God’s will to help with the healing of Colton’s brain and that this treatment will do wonders for him.
