Juli Truett’s Miracle
Please be a part of Juli’s Miracle. In January of this year Juli discovered that she had a tumor in her right lung. After several weeks of tests we found out it was an extremely rare solitary fibrous tumor. While that alone was alarming, even more troublesome news came in May when it was discovered that this rare tumor (that's often benign) was actually malignant and cancerous. The cause of these tumors are unknown and of the handful of cases on record only 1 in 5 are malignant, so this is an ultra rare combination and challenge. She went through an initial chemo treatment to see how the cancer would respond, but in late July we were once again shocked to learn the tumor had *doubled* in size.
Needless to say this was a huge blow to us all and we went from "not good but not bad" to full on "life as you know it has changed" overnight. Despite everything Juli is fighting this head on. She increased her chemo treatment from what could be called a level 2 to a level 8, which drastically changed her daily life in hopes of making an impact. With no known cure the goal is to slow the cancer down and stop the growth. Her best option is treatment at the City Of Hope, a world leader in cancer research and treatment, in Los Angeles.
This GoFundMe was created to help cover the increased costs, from medication to emergency room visits to the out-of-pocket City of Hope treatments. If you've met Juli then you know she's the heart and soul of the Truett family -- and probably wouldn't want you to worry about her anyways. She's a crafter, mother, Disneyland aficionado, MeMe to the grandkids, and a real life Mary Poppins. But now is the time to return the kindness she's shown so many, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
