Carly was seriously injured in a car accident on December 11, 2012. She even made the news:

She has broken both of her knees, has 20 stitches in her hand , 2 herniated discs in her lower back, 2 fractured ribs, and suffered nerve damage in her left shoulder making her left arm mostly useless. Carly spent Christmas at an in-patient rehab facility.
She has a four and a half year old daughter (Asha) and her partner is disabled and unable to work. Carly was the breadwinner of the househould. She is now 100% immobile. Her multi-step rehabilitation will take many many months. It may be a year or more before she can walk normally again.
Her car was totaled in the crash and the coverage that the insurance company is providing is not enough to purchase a used car. Carly and her family live in a rural area of New Jersey near the border of Pennsylvania. As a result, it will be impossible for Carly to attend the necessary doctor's appointments, and when she is well enough, take her daughter to school and eventually, go to work without a car.
Please help by donating what you can to cover the costs for a replacement car, food expenses (Fresh Direct), and home utilities.
Carly is one of the most independent people I know. She is my oldest friend - I have known her since we were 10 years old. Her strength, kindness and loyalty is admirable and inspirational. I thank God/the Heavens/Spirit above...etc (take your pick) that she survived that horrific accident and has many more years on this Earth to continue to be the wonderful mother and friend.
