I don’t even know where to bein...On Monday, March 2nd, 2020 at 9:30 PM, Trevor Malik VanDyke was found and pronounced dead in his car after being shot while driving. My heart was shattered when I got the news this morning. I don’t think you understood how grateful I was for you and the things you did for me with football and helping me get through the mental aspect of everything I was dealing with in my life. You helped me with the coaches by sticking up for me when they were on my ass about something stupid of didn’t give me a shot you always pushed them to give me a chance, all the long talks in the gym and in coach walls, the laughs in the back of the car after practice, riding around being stupid and just being kids like we were, the training sessions with Lee and talking to Coach Johnson. You helped me get through a lot and I can’t thank you enough. This should’ve never happened the way that it did. I know people knew you how I saw you and this wasn’t how it was supposed to end for you, you had to much more to accomplish and you were only getting started! I remember this day like it was yesterday, it was the Wednesday practice the week of the Cleveland game and you were in the room with me that Monday when they told me I was gonna start and I knew you were one of them that pushed to get me on the field and for them to give me a chance and you knew that’s all I wanted was for them to give me a shot. You came up to me that Wednesday because you noticed I was upset like you always did and it was because they told me I was starting that Friday and they hadn’t practiced me all we and you knew I was scared because I didn’t know what I was doing and you told me “Don’t worry about it, things workout in mysterious ways and Gods got your back and you know I always got you! Keep your head up I love you dawg.” And you yelled and were throwing out comments like “why y’all keep doing him like this! Put him in you know he’s starting this Friday!” You were always there for me and a close friend that I’ll never forget. Your aunt was so nice to me every time I saw her and you always dapped me up when I was sad because you knew it would make me laugh and I’d always hear first thing as soon as you saw me was “what up ugly boy” and I use call you “T-Ugly” and we’d laugh. I love and miss you❤️ #LongLiveTrevor PLEASE and I mean PLEASE help me and my friends family out. Anything helps and It would mean a lot to me if we can raise as much money for his family as possible because I know they’re in pain and going through a lot right now. PLEASE SHARE THIS EVERYWHERE AND GET THE WORD OUT!!! #LONGLIVETREVORVANDYKE
