Please Help Bring My Dad Home.

Donation protected
On the 11th August 2019 our dad suffered a severe Intracerebral Haemorrhage to his brain and was taken to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) at Nicosia General Hospital. Doctors there told us that his condition was critical.
I immediately flew out to Cyprus to be with my mum and sister Androulla, having been told it was likely that he only had days to live.
It had come as such a huge shock to us all as the day before he was having fun and playing in the garden with his great grandchildren who were there on holiday.
The past 9 weeks have been a whirlwind.
Myself and Androulla have been away from our families and our work to be by his side. We refuse to give up hope and talk to him each and every day to encourage a response.
On 11th September, due to overcrowding at the General Hospital dad was moved to the ICU at the AMERCIAN MEDICAL CENTRE in Nicosia where he continued to receive treatment.
However, after 9 weeks of treatment and continued efforts to communicate with him; he has finally managed to open his eyes and say one or two words even though we were told he might never speak again.
So far, our beloved dad has defeated all the odds and miraculously pulled through a tremendous storm. He is a true fighter and wherever he was in his mind we really believe he has been able to hear us in the distance talking to him and gained the strength to fight back.
But he is not out of the woods yet.  Despite any improvement his condition is still critical and the only chance we have for him to continue his recovery is if we are able to bring him back to the UK where we would be better able to support him.
THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP.
The only way we can return him to the UK is by Air Ambulance at a cost of £35,000.00 which is money we simply do not have.
We cannot continue to stay in Cyprus to be with him indefinitely. Being away from our families in the UK has been so tough and desperately need to bring him back here with us so we can continue to support him and where he can continue to receive the treatment he requires in order to recover.

I know it is a lot to ask but anything you can donate will make a huge difference and would give our Dad the chance he needs to live.

Whatever you can afford to give will be really appreciated.  Please share this page with others so that maybe if enough people get to see this “ a little can really go a long way”.
I know you can just skip this page and get on with your day but I’m asking you to please take a little time to think what you might be able to help us achieve by making a donation that could be the difference between life and death.
Every penny received could add up to that vital difference.
I speak on behalf of all our family and thank you all for your consideration.
