Gails Angels

Gail was diagnosed with a type of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) called squamous cell carcinoma in January of this year. It originated in her left lung and spread to other parts of her body, lymph nodes, bones, adrenal gland. On Wednesday October 9th, Gail was transferred from the IMCU at Memorial City hospital to the IMCU at a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility, Kindred Northwest, which was our top choice in LTAC's and close to home. She is working diligently on PT and OT, and is still on substantial respiratory support. She has had a lot of hard talks but are thrilled to report it looks like she is improving and she's in pretty good spirits. We've had such amazing humans caring for Gail during this whole journey. It’s difficult to fully convey through social media the reality of what she is going through, mostly because social media is a snapshot of a huge picture impossible to truly capture as well as we aim to be as hopeful and optimistic as possible as we can during this season, but those who are closest to her know the depth of how tough this year has been for her on so many fronts. Gails health is the utmost priority and we want everyone to be mindful of her health while she is limited and in intensive care. She needs help with LOTS of things, like meal prep, grocery shopping, errands, and generating financial support, etc. Every little bit helps.
