1st ever RUN of the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge 220km
Don protégé
Hey everyone I have recently set my sights on both summiting and running ~218km (135 miles) between the three highest peaks in Wales (Mt. Snowdon, Cadir Idris and Pen-y-Fan). As far as I am aware I hope to be the first to ever complete this gruelling ultra-endurance run in 4 days. This whole attempt is being filmed by my good friend Jacob Chambers, we strive to document the journey, that traverses some of the best nature spots and countryside Wales has to offer. The film called "SOLO PEAKS" will share the importance of reconnecting with these outdoor spaces for both physical and mental well-being. Some of the donations will cover the filmmaking.
A solo run of this nature is very lonely and will translate well into the mental health struggles to overcome in this challenge. My charity is Mind in Mid Herts (MiMH).

Why Mind in Mid Herts as the cause?
I have suffered from anxiety and panic disorder for much of my adult life and the mental health charity MiMH has always been there for me. I am also a trustee of MiMH too.
What will your money do?
From MiMH website
1 in 4 people are going through a mental health problem every year and although we are currently reaching over 2500 people, we are not reaching everyone who needs our support, especially now during Covid 19. With your help we can make a big difference to the lives of local people experiencing mental ill-health in Hertfordshire.
How MiMH spends donations:
- £30 - helps with the understanding of mental health amongst the general public via public awareness work.
- £120 enables 2 young people to attend a confidence-building course
- £360 could pay for a tutor to deliver a 6-week course such as ‘Managing Depression’ for up to 16 people.
- £500 could pay for 50 hours of peer group support to reduce someone experiencing social isolation.
- £1,000 could pay for a café group to be run once a week for a year to support people with a range of mental health problems.
Where can you follow the event?
