1st Infantry Division Monument – Washington D.C.

Mission: Raise funds to add 631 names and their units of 1st Infantry Division soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The 1st Infantry Division Monument, located near the White House, was built in 1924. It currently contains the names of all 1st Infantry Division soldiers killed in WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. Additional details can be found at www.1stID.org.

Congress has approved modifications to the base of the monument to add the 631 names and their units of Big Red One soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. Construction plans are approved, and construction will start early 2024. Our goal is to raise $50,000 with this GoFundMe page to help in construction completion. Every dollar counts.
