Austin State University’s Department of Military Science Ranger Challenge Team will be heading to the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY to compete in annual Sandhurst Military Skills Competition. The competition will be over 36 hours in length and consists of tactical tasks to challenge the cadets both mentally and physically.
Other competitors will include, but are not limited to: U.S. Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, University of North Georgia, Penn State, BYU, and teams from Korea, Afghanistan, Columbia, Canada, Australia, and Great Britain.
We are raising money for team jackets, after-market boots/socks, new ruck sacks, cold weather gear, combat gloves, eye protection with prescription inserts, nutritional supplements, and rifle slings.
Any donations are GREATLY appreciated and any unused funds will be transferred into Stephen F. Austin Army ROTC’s general cadet fund and will be used to pay for the SFA Military Ball.
