Help Ana with new Aortic valve.

Hi Everyone,

I have created this fundraiser in hope to get some relief for the cost of surgery I will be getting in a few months. Many don’t know, but I was born with a congenital heart defect called aortic stenosis which has also caused me to have a heart murmur. When I was 10 & 11 years old, I had 2 open heart surgeries. The photo shown below is me at 10 years old after having surgery. :’) 

For those that don’t know what aortic stenosis is here is a bit more information, aortic stenosis is Narrowing of the valve in the large blood vessel branching off the heart (aorta).
This narrowing keeps the valve from opening fully, reducing blood flow to the body and making the heart work harder. 

Because of aortic stenosis I also have a heart murmur (irregular beating of the heart, and tachycardia, which is rapid beating of the heart. 

Typically this type of surgery is required every 15 years to replace the valve, we’re at the 20 year mark now which demands I get it soon before other health problems begin to present themselves. I hope that you may all find it in your hearts to give so I may extend my life for at least another 15 years so I may continue working with children, and helping those in need.

UPDATE:

I was able to see the specialist at Cedar Sinai and was told I would need surgery this upcoming Thursday. During my CT scan they found a large amount of calcium build up. Doctors have discussed the TAVR procedure. A valve is inserted up my leg to the aorta. I am definitely nervous but also glad this is happening. If anyone can donate and spread the word, it would mean a lot to me and my family! :)
