Bandit Cheer Teams Road To Nationals

15 years ago was the last time a Bandit Cheer Team took 1st at Pop Warner's Southeast Region Championship.... until now. Saturday 23 girls took the mat, some that have cheered together since the age of 5, some brand new to the Bandits, but a family unit all the same. Competing against a team that beat them at the Conference Championship, they gave it all they had on the mat. Then the awards came and when they called out the 2nd place winner you saw the Bandit cheerleaders gasp... it was the team that beat them before! The MC then called out where are my Champions at? THE BANDITS!! Within seconds your Bandit cheerleaders were jumping up and down, hugging each other and screaming like only cheerleaders can. THEY DID IT!! Not only did they take 1st place, they beat the 2nd place team by 5 points!! It doesn't end there, THEY ARE HEADED TO DISNEY to compete against cheer teams from all over the United States. This honor requires your staff of 31 to stay 2 nights at a Disney hotel, with a reward trip to Magic Kingdom for their title. These girls have fundraised all year, panhandling at local stores, selling candles and doing fundraisers all year. They've practiced, they've perfected their skills, spent time in the gym. Now it's our turn to give them the Nationals trip of a lifetime. Our girls are $5,000 short of their goal and leave in a week. We are asking for your help to fulfill their dreams.... bringing home a National title back to Port Charlotte!
