Helping Our Friend In Need

Christmas, is a time to come together with friends and family. It’s a time to help those in need and help out your community. For most of us we get our presents and we eat with our family every year. However this year we come together as a family in a different way, I hope we come together to support and help the my friend John Lacayo, and his family. John is my closest friend, I’ve known him since the third grade and I even would say he’s more of a brother, his at home living situation has never been easy for him, since we first met and became friends it opened my eyes to how fortunate I am to have the simple things. His mother and his sister both have battled cancer and she is currently unemployed and they can not afford their rent. John just got his first part time job to help his mother pay off the rent for his family and his mothers treatment, and the other basic expenses. He has always put his family and friends before anything, if you met him you would never know he struggles, his optimism is admirable and selfless, caring qualities Is what makes him such a likeable and loveable person. This year, my friends, their families, and my own hope is to make this Christmas one to remember for him. One to show them how much we care, to show that we are here to help. More than money, I hope he feels the support of people around him. If we come together this Christmas we hope to help with their rent, to help clean their home and to show through faith, love and spirit that we can help each-other especially in a time of caring for one another. All the profits from this fundraiser will be sent to John and his family for Christmas as a gift of love and support from friends.
