Getting Evicted

My name is Keven Cisco and I’m a 22 year old student from Texas. This year has thrown many unexpected curves towards me and I’ve reached a point where I can’t support myself for the time being. I started school in August, with $0 from financial aid and grants. I was also denied a loan request to cover my housing for the Fall and Spring semester. I still went to school anyways and used whatever money I had left to pay for my classes and two months of rent. My goal was to have a higher paying job that would allow me to be able to pay bills on time as well as pay for rent. I got a job as soon as I could while only making $9 and on a limited schedule to keep me afloat for the time being. I barely made ends meet while taking care of two animals. The amount of stress that I’ve been dealing with the past 3 months has taken a toll on my mental and physical health. And my apartment refuses to help in any way they can. I have until the 23rd before being evicted and possibly be homeless. Thankfully I was able to secure a job that would be enough to help me live, but now I won’t be going to school next semester so I can sort out everything I need. With this new job, I’ve been blessed to make enough income where I won’t have to worry about making ends meet or paying rent. But while I start the process of fixing this mess, management at my apartment is persistent in getting me evicted. Student housing has prayed on those less fortunate and those in circumstances where they cannot provide for themselves due to things out of their control. They won’t allow me to break my lease, while charging me $10 a day for any late fees. Anything helps, and hopefully I will be able to get back on track.
