April 2019 my dad was diagnosed with stage two pancreatic cancer. This started the journey to where we are today. From April to December my dad underwent countless chemo treatments to hopefully shrink this cancer that was draining him. Treatment didn’t work for five months, in fact though the summer of 2019 his cancer grew and spread. September 2019 we were given the news that he was now stage four. This news made us change treatment locations. From September to November my dad went through a different blend of chemo with a new facility. This facility gave us hope, and the hope we were given was validated by his numbers. As much as the chemo was working, the cancer was already too strong. In the beginning of December my dad was taken to the hospital one final time. We were given the news that there was nothing else they could do except get him comfortable. December 12 he came home. December 21 he left us. This Gofundme is to help my mom, my brother and I be able to cover funeral/memorial costs. Any money that isn’t used for the memorial will help my mother be able to transition into life without my father. any little bit helps.
