Single Mother of Two Fights for Home and Health

It has been a very challenging year for our mother, daughter, relative and friend Cheri Petrus, a woman who believes in the power of loving others even as she fights for her own life. Given her medical challenges related to her diaphragm penetrating through her chest cavity, she has had 25% of her stomach removed due to the issue. Related to the surgery, she has suffered massive blood clots, pulmonary embolisms, fluid build ups, and a number of blood transfusions to help manage the issue. Currently, Cheri's body is rejecting the 25% reduction of her stomach and her doctor's are unclear as to the cause. She is a single mother of two girls and currently on leave from her place of employment. Doctors have instructed her that she can no longer work the high pressure, fast paced role at her current place of employment, otherwise she risks her health. With her medical bills rising, she has no money to pay her mortgage. And as she faces the possibility of losing her home, she also has no resources to help support her two girls, as she does not receive any financial assistance in taking care of them. Given these challenges, Cheri's friends and family are looking to raise XXX donations in order to help her pay her medical bills, ensure she gets the right care so she can resume work, and sustain her mortgage so that her two children will have food and shelter.
