Avila Family Fire Recovery Fund

Hi. My name is Alice Avila. I’m a single mom of 3, ages 9 - 16. I went back to college two years ago after a divorce to get my first degree to support my family. I’m currently one semester away from graduating but my life has been derailed by an apartment fire. We lost almost everything. My kids have been staying with their dad for the past few weeks, and I have been using savings and student loans for hotel housing. We have an apartment in the works but it will be a few more weeks before it’s available, and then we will need to replace everything we lost. Furniture, mattresses, bedding, cookware, etc. Please help us get back on our feet. I want to teach my kids that with hard work and good friends you can accomplish anything you want to.
