My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in November, and shortly after suffered a stroke. From the stroke she has suffered from right sided weakness and visual deficits. My mom spent three weeks in an acute rehab facility and returned home to us just before the Christmas holidays. We are working on finding her great rehab services including PT, OT, vision, speech and swallowing therapist. We are also in the process of finding a home health aide for my mom a few days during the week while we are all at work or school. If anyone knows anyone who would be a good fit feel free to reach out. Many of you who know my mother know that she is a fighter. She has taken positive steps in her recovery from the stroke but still has a mountain to climb when it comes to fighting cancer. We are hoping to receive her biopsy results next week and from there begin her treatment plan. My family and I are very appreciative of all the support that she has received throughout this tough time. Any and all help is extremely appreciated.
