Michael Lisnow Respite Center Boston Marathon 2020
Tax deductible
Having been around this great organization, and its Marathon team, for the last couple years, I've decided to support them again in my 3rd Boston Marathon.
As I have done in past years, I will be running this year's race in honor of some that we lost over the last year (and surely not forgotten). This year I will run in honor of Charlotte Jean and Annie Masters.
I will also be running in memory of Raymond Forget, Ann Lingos, and Mario Monterastelli in this year's Marathon.
Here is some more detail on The Michael Lisnow Respite Center:
The Michael's Miracle Marathon Team is a Boston Marathon team to benefit The Michael Lisnow Respite Center. The Respite Center, located in Hopkinton just a mile from the starting line, is an official B.A.A. charity that provides services for children and adults with disabilities. We have several programs which include our Adult Day Program, Weekend Respite, After School Care, Day Care (birth - 3 yrs.), Employment Support for Individuals with Disabilities and Residential Placements.
As we begin 2020 and our 22nd Boston Marathon season, our goal is to continue to increase respite and support services for families trying to survive the challenges of raising a child with disabilities. Last year the Respite Center raised just over $607,000 with a team of 60+ runners. These funds made it possible to grant scholarships and also provide over 40,000 hours of service to families in need.
Once again, I do sincerely appreciate your support given! It is what drives me to get from Hopkinton to Boylston St. each year!
