Chloe's Education Fund

I am so heartbroken to announce that my wife Michelle Maharaj has passed away on Monday January 6th 2020, Michelle passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, after a brave battle with cancer. She was the love of my life, my partner and my loving wife. I chose Michelle and Michelle chose me. We were a team and we had loving and happy plans to fight the world together till we were old and gray. We were soulmates and we knew how lucky we were to find each other. A few years later we had the sweetest, cutest, happiest lil baby girl, Chloe. And our loving family was amplified. We entered 2019 ready to kick ass and take names, ready to take on all challenges that came our way. The one challenge that we couldn't be ready for was Stage 3B Cervical Cancer. Michelle was diagnosed on Feb 25th. From that point on Michelle was a fucking warrior and 2mins after finding out the news, she said “Fuck it, Cancer is not going to run my life, we are fighting!” That’s the kind of person she was. She fought, she kept fighting and never stopped fighting. Her family and friends fought with and for her with an army of love and support. After 31 rounds of radiation treatments and 3 rounds of Chemotherapy, 5 major complications that resulted in 85 days admitted into hospital, she still had her memorizing smile, sweet laugh and the most beautiful eyes staring back at you. Being in her presence was so empowering and she made the incredibly difficult journey seem like just another hurdle in life. My wife was a god-damn warrior for what she fought through and that strength is something she passed on to our amazing daughter. On Monday Jan 6th, 2020 Michelle’s fighting spirit was still strong and willing, but her body wasn’t able to continue. Our precious Michelle is an inspiration to Me, our daughter and anyone who had the privilege to meet her. I will forever love and miss her.
