For clarification and validation, I am Colby’s mother in law, Kelsees mom. This is a valid go fund me. If there was any other help available that would have been utilized. We are asking for help for these kids because they have been put into a horrific situation and need help getting out of it. This experience has been completely heartbreaking to watch Colby and Kelsee go through, as a mom, we have been right there with them going through it. They have received so much love from some people and horrific attacks from others. There were many reasons they have not been able to talk about things while fighting their own daily personal battles and how devastating this has been for them. Many kind hearted people have asked if they have a go fund me set up. And because of some of the hate they have been getting for not being more public (law enforcement asked them to lay low) the last thing we wanted was more reason for hate. But If you can find it in your heart to try and understand where Colby and his family are coming from then I want to thank you and if you can’t, then please keep your comments to yourself unless you have walked in their shoes. BUT that said, there are things they have been going through that most don’t know about and its not something they are proud to put out there in the public so we have held off but they are at a breaking point and have decided with much prompting from those of us closest to them to just tell it and do a go fund me, so here it is. They are newlyweds with a baby about to turn 1. Colby has been their sole support because they have a child with medical needs. Colby’s mom Lori has not spoken to him though any of this and they can’t even explain how bad things have gotten, to not know if his siblings are dead or hidden somewhere - the constant battle with trying to process emotions for the worst news possible and trying to stay hopeful at the same time is a special hell to try to walk out daily. Then to have your mom in zero contact with you… and no way to talk to her (hence the YouTube videos we all hope will somehow reach her maybe via the local news or something). These kids have lost their cars( one was taken by the police for evidence and the other was in Lori’s and Charles name and the payments had not been made for months) Colby lost his job due to all of this, his credit has been ruined and they have been hounded and stalked by reporters on a daily basis. This has been like living in a nightmare that won’t go away. They need help, so please find it in your heart to help in some way. If you haven’t been a part of their life then you don’t know what they are going though but we have been walking this with them and it’s been very very tough. They need help getting a vehicle so he can work. Colby has been concerned with trying to keep his family safe and that has been a priority but he’s been doing everything he can behind the scenes to help bring his siblings home. He has felt helpless through this whole ordeal so maybe as a community we can help these kids get through this and fight to find his siblings. There are a lot of ways to help even if it’s not with donations. They could use some groceries or diapers etc.. They can use prayer warriors and love and support. If you can help please do, if not financially please help share and pray and anything else you can do is all greatly appreciated.
