FYNN, Fighting Hard After Vicious Attack
Donation protected
Our beautiful 2 yr old little boy Fynn was viciously attacked by a neighbours dog yesterday afternoon. He had been missing for approximately 4 hours, after frantic posts to Facebook and searching brought him to my door just before dark in my neighbours arms. They had found him on their rural property while out walking his dogs. He was blood soaked, hypothermic and barely alive. We rushed him to Armstrong Vet clinic where he was seen briefly but due to severity of his injuries, they put an IV in, wrapped him in warm blankets, gave him a shot of pain meds and rushed him to Fairfield Animal Hospital in Kelowna where he currently remains in critical condition. He has two fractured vertebrae in his neck, deep bite marks, lacerations to his neck which as resulted in damage to his trachea, and displaced bones in his throat. Currently he is still bleeding through his nose which is further complicating his ability to breath.
He may now need surgery from an orthopaedic surgeon to repair his fractured vertebrae as well as surgery to repair his torn trachea. These injuries are a result of being viciously shook. Update from the vets tonight, his second night is we are look at at least another 4-8 days. Our vet bills have already exceeded $3,000 which only covers tonight. All fees have to be paid in advance. We are feeling very overwhelmed by the rapidly accumulating and unexpected vet costs of being in a critical care hospital. Any support to help in Fynn’s recovery would be greatly appreciated.
