Skater Paralyzed From A Car Crash

I’m Chris Miller. 31 year old skate rat who unfortunately was in a car crash that has left me paralyzed below the belly button. I’m starting this campaign to help with sum of my life/ medical expenses. I appreciate everyone and feel truly loved. Thank you! (Post I made on Instagram) One week ago I was in a head on collision with a Mack Truck. The Honda Civic I was driving was completely crunched into a mangled mess. Luckily I was ejected from the car. 5 vertebrae (t7-t11) were broken and one of them was completely separated. One of my nerves was separated from my spine , I have a broken neck as well. 40+ stitches in my face and head. My neurologist told me this is one of the worst broken backs he has ever seen. As of now I have no feeling below my belly button. I currently am dealing with issues from my intestines. I have excess bloating and my body isn’t helping with relief of it yet. My drs are working to fix that issue as a first priority. Just so everyone knows my mindset right now. I’m very happy to be alive. I don’t think about ever walking again and it’s not a high priority for me at this moment in time. I’m focused on getting back healthy and keeping my mental health in tack as well. There is a long road of challenges ahead of me which does not scare me. Moving forward I’m focused on being as independent as possible. I’ll be going back to school to get a degree in some sort of engineering . This accident will be the fuel to my fire of greatness from here on out. I appreciate everyone’s kind words they have had for me. I truly feel loved and appreciated.
