As university students, we are witnessing first-hand the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and irregular lockdowns on the mental health of young people. Across the country, first year students in particular are locked in their rooms virtually 24/7, attending an online course they did not sign up for, with no opportunity to meet people and start a new life in a new place. This project is a message to the powers that be that these students are not just a £9,000 number, but also to the students themselves: we hear you, we understand how you feel, and you are not alone.
This project was produced and funded entirely by university students and their incredible supporters, and is a nonprofit project. Any donations are gratefully received and will be split 50/50 between recording expenses and Student Minds, a charity supporting the mental health of students during this tough time - once we have covered our expenses, 100% of profits will go directly to the charity.
