Help Team Stoney Compete In Hawaii.
Donation protected
Team Stoney is a group of low-income teens who have been playing basketball since elementary school. This year, they have been invited to compete in Honolulu, Hawaii in the beginning of April, but cannot possibly afford the money for plane tickets and accommodations. They have worked so hard these past years, and we don’t want them to miss out on this exciting opportunity.
We have always tried to instill in these kids a sense of drive and motivation for life that they have accomplished through competition. In so doing, they stay in school, get good grades, learn great principles and ethics that come from playing by the rules. They also learn how to cope with their problems, how to take risks, learn resilience, how to set goals, learn commitment, know what it means to be a team player, and how to have fun at the same time.
We’re not just creating good ball players; we’re creating the next generation of community leaders. We want to expose these young inner-city teens to life beyond their own borders. Hawaii has graciously extended the invitation. Team Stoney now needs your help to get there! Anything will help and is much appreciated. Any leftover money will go towards future tournaments and team outings.
Thanks!
